NSEC at the Environmental Services & Solutions Exhibition

It’s been a fantastic couple of days for our North Somerset Environment Company team at this years Environmental Services & Solutions Exhibition. We headed up to the NEC in Birmingham early on Wednesday 11 September ready for 2 busy days full of catching up with industry colleagues, meeting suppliers and attending informative seminars and discussions.

The Environmental Services & Solutions Exhibition features some of the industry leading organisations and contractors. Hosted every year, this gives a chance for colleagues in the industry to catch up and see the progression which has been made each year. It also showcases some fantastic new innovative products and software’s which can be a real eye opener.

The first day of the exhibition was action packed, and our team saw some excellent innovations which we would love to bring back down to North Somerset alongside catching up with long time suppliers and colleagues. We sat on a very educational seminar about ‘Is Biodiversity Net Gain the key to sustainable development’, with six industry experts discussing very important topics relating to the waste industry. This was followed by the Environment100 award ceremony, which our very own Project Manager Shane Young receiving an award alongside some of the industry’s best. Congratulations Shane on your award, we are all very proud of you.

The second day was just as busy as the first with some members of our HWRC department coming up to join us. The day was filled with lots more catching up alongside looking at some vehicles and other fleet-related products. At the end of the second day, we attended the ‘35 under 35’ award ceremony with Shane being nominated for another award.  Congratulations to everyone who won.

We would like to thank our team consisting of; Stuart Jellings, Kerry Ellis, Shane Young, Simon Martin, Jamie Cox, Jacob Stallard, David Slade and John Anthony for their attendance at this year’s event and representing North Somerset Environment Company very professionally.
