Safety, Health, Environmental and Facilities Co-ordinator

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Safety, Health, Environmental and Facilities Co-ordinator to be part of its Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) team, responsible for the effective management of related safety compliance and facilities maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance of Health, Safety and FM systems and procedures, such as accident reporting, permit to work, and COSHH to meet specific requirements, like ISO standards, in a consistent and effective manner.
- Co-ordinate the reviews of risk assessments, site plans, traffic management plans, and safe systems of work, ensuring they are conducted by relevant colleagues in a timely manner.
- Assist with major incident investigations where required. Follow up all incident investigations with relevant colleagues to ensure completion of actions and closure and report any outcomes or learnings through safety alerts.
- Participate and contribute to the Safety Committee, record minutes and complete allocated actions.
Requirements
- Experience and/or enthusiasm in health & safety, conversant with relevant legislation and best practise.
- An understanding of basic facilities management (FM) functionality inc. managing in-house and contractor maintenance teams.
- Professional qualifications and accreditations although training sponsorship is available for the right candidate. (NEBOSH, IOSH)
- Experience in undertaking and writing risk assessments, safe systems of work, inductions, and training packages.
- Excellent people skills and a participative team member.
- Ability to build excellent business relationships with teams, key stakeholders, and suppliers.
- IT literacy with experience of Microsoft Office suite and be able to interpret business systems
